1. The "Local-First" Principle

Clacker is designed as a local-first utility. This means that your data—including exposure logs, camera profiles, and reciprocity calculations—stays where it belongs: on your device. We do not maintain a central database of your photographic activity.

2. Information Collection and Use

Photo Logs & Metadata: Any information you record in the Journal (aperture, shutter speed, notes) is stored locally in a private database on your mobile device.

Location Data (GPS): If you grant permission, the app uses your device's GPS to tag the location of your film logs. This data is used solely to provide context to your personal records and is never transmitted to us or any third party.

Voice Notes: Voice-to-text notes are processed using your device’s native dictation engine. We do not record or store audio files on our servers.

3. Data Storage & Security

Because your data is stored locally, it is protected by your device’s own security measures (passcode, FaceID, etc.). Please note that deleting the app will result in the loss of your local data unless you have manually exported your logs.

4. Third-Party Services

App Store/Google Play: Payment for the "Pro Locker" upgrade is handled exclusively by the respective platform (Apple or Google). We do not have access to your credit card information.
